Elk City lies at the end of Highway 14 -- 50 miles of paved road winding next to the South Fork Clearwater River and mid-way on the IBDR (Idaho Backroad Discovery Route).

Experience gorgeous landscapes in all directions with abundant wildlife, such as deer, elk, and bald eagles.

Catch the open fishing season for the spring and fall runs of salmon and steelhead. Kayak the South Fork Clearwater River in the spring. Hike in one of the three adjacent wilderness areas. Drive the 110-mile Magruder Corridor 4x4 road through two wilderness areas. Soak in the Red River Hot Springs. The possibilities for outdoor activities are endless.

Make Riders Rest your first choice for your "Home on the Road!"
